9 Years Ago Today....

It was the best day of my life when I became Mrs. Tim Knox.

Time with my Mother-In-Law

We went and spent a day with my in-laws and had a wonderful time. I love the time that I get to sit with my mother-in-law and learn from her. We where talking about how my heart has changed so much over the past year on being a wife and mother and how much I enjoy it now. She gave me a card to put in my bible and I thought I would share it.

A man's house is his fortress in a weary world, where a woman's hand buckles on his armor in the morning and soothes his fatigue and wounds at night. Frank Crane

My prayer is that I can become this type of woman to my husband.

Family Walks

Family walks are such a beautiful thing in the Knox household. When Tim are I started dating we would go on walks together and talk for hours. 8 1/2 years later we are still going on our family walks. Tonight on our walk I stopped and looked at my sweet family and thought how blessed I am to have a husband and kids to go on walks with (plus we are getting in shape too).

Date Night

Tomorrow my sweet husband Tim is taking me on a date. When we got married 7 years ago we said we will go on a date once a week. We might not always go to dinner and a movie every week, but we do try to spend time with each other on the couch, watch a movie at home, or play a card game. What should we do tomorrow night since we are "going out" we have 4.5 hours?

My Husband

So last night at SWITCH I was talking with some of my sweet friends and I said something nice about Tim my husband. They started to laugh. I said what?? They said well we where just talking about you the other day and how you always talk nice about Tim. At first I was like oh I am sorry. But then it got me thinking. Why do I say nice things about Tim to people. Well its because its true!!!!! He is the best husband, father, and friend for Nicole. I wake up everyday and cant believe how blessed I am to be married to Tim Knox and how blessed my children are to have him as a father. I hope you feel the same way about your husband and if you are not married God will bless you with a perfect husband just like he did for me.

Spice it Up

Tonight when Tim got home from work the kids and I where playing out side. Well 30 minutes later I had a surprise for my husband we had a babysitter and I was taking him on a date=) We went to BJ'S for dinner, we went to a guy movie, and then to Starbucks. We never do stuff like this, we always plan a month ahead of time to go out. It was fun to spice up our relationship! What have you done to spice up your marriage?

Job vs. Joy

I just finished a bible study called Keeper of the Home. This study has rocked my world. They asked us two questions at the end of the study:

What did you think a homemaker was before the study?
What do you think of a homemaker now?

This was easy for me! Before I thought a homemaker was my job and I should be paid a lot of money for all I do for my husband, my children, and my house. Now I think of it as joy. I love that I get to serve my husband and my two boys. Tim once told me "Find something you love and you will never work a day in your life". I used to get mad that Tim loved what he did. Now guess what we both LOVE what we do. It is so neat how the Lord can change our hearts.

We also learned to be a homemaker does not mean you have to stay home. It means that you put your home before everything else. Looks a little like this:
1.God
2.Husband
3.Children
4.Everything else
