Pregnant with NO baby

The meds that I am on now are working wonderful. I am starting to feel a lot better. The down side to the meds is the side effects are like I am pregnant. I will gain weight, get more zits, and be really moody! If you see me and I am 15lbs more, a face full of zits, smiling and crying at the same time know that it will pass in a month. Praise God that I am not going to the bathroom 20 times a day=)

Nathan has FAITH

It was around 11:30pm Tim and I where talking in bed. I was talking to him about how much pain I was in. We didn't know it but Nathan had walked in the room and this is what he said:

Nathan: Mom whats wrong?
Me: Um,(thinking to myself how to tell a 3 year old I have a colon problem) mommy's poop hurts!
Nathan: Lets pray for it!
Me: Ok.
Nathan: Jesus please help mommy's poop not hurt, please help her to take her medicine, Amen.

The next morning Nathan ran up to me and said "you are all better right" Nathan has so much faith!!!!

Update on Colonoscopy

I want to start out by thanking you all for praying for me and sending your sweet words. For those of you who don't know, I have a disease called Ulcerative Colitis (UC). I have had it for 8 years. The past few months the UC has gotten bad. We decided to have a Colonoscopy done on Christmas Eve. We found out that my large intestine is inflamed, irritated, and very sensitive. My large intestine is out of control. The Dr. decided to put me on some medicine for a month that will try to get the disease under control so we can manage it. The down side to the medicine is that it weakens my immune system and there are several side effects that would put a normal person in the hospital. I also can't get pregnant while taking this medicine. The small intestine hasn't been affected and the Dr. took several biopsy's from my colon to test them. We should get some results soon from the biopsy. Please continue to pray for me and my sweet family.

Colonoscopy

Colonoscopy is a word I do not like to say. If you don't know I have been very sick the past few months and I am not getting better. As of right now I am doing the prep work for my colonoscopy tomorrow morning. They do not know what is wrong with me but we are praying they will know soon! If you think about it please pray for me and my family tomorrow morning. Thanks sweet friends=)

SWITCH Leader Party

Last night we had 40 of our SWITCH leaders to our house for a Christmas party. I have been looking forward to this for a month. We are blessed to have a house that is 1,252 square feet big. Tim and I new it would be small but we think there is something about having people in your home. Yesterday morning I woke up REALLY sick. (I mean it was coming from both ends). So needless to say Tim had to clean, cook, and take care of the boys while I was in the bathroom all day and all night. Tim did a wonderful job, I am so proud of him!

On a said note Tim hired another youth pastor to help out with SWITCH, his name is Ryan Dowdy he is awesome!

Don't Make Me Count to Three!

You know when you are reading a book and its like the words come off the page and say this is for YOU! This happened to me last night as I was reading "Don't Make Me Count to Three!" Tim and I are so blessed to have 2 boys, but most of the time I don't know what I am doing. Something the book said was "rather than talking to your child, you talk with your child." WHAT!!! Why didn't I even think of that. When I am telling my children what to do and how to do it, I think I might try to talk with them, not at them.
