Family Walks

Family walks are such a beautiful thing in the Knox household. When Tim are I started dating we would go on walks together and talk for hours. 8 1/2 years later we are still going on our family walks. Tonight on our walk I stopped and looked at my sweet family and thought how blessed I am to have a husband and kids to go on walks with (plus we are getting in shape too).

No Baby AGAIN

A year ago God started to change our hearts when it came to having more kids. Tim came home one afternoon after listening to Voddie Baucham and said to me "we are not going to use birth control anymore" That day was big for us because we started to think of our children as blessings and not just something "we" did when we wanted to.

All that to say we have not been on birth control for a year and I still have not gotten pregnant. Last week when I found out I was not pregnant for the 12th time, I broke down. I thought that it has to be something that I have done in my past for me to not have more babies. (my past is not good at all).

The Lord said to me that day "what past?"

It was a BIG day for me!!!

Right now I am going to love on my 2 sweet boys that the Lord has blessed us with.

No Dr. Pepper for a week = 5lbs

Yes it is true I have not had Dr. Pepper for a week and lost 5lbs. That is not all I did, but that was a big part of it. This is what my week looked like:

Monday- Worked out Arms
Tuesday- Nothing (boys sick)
Wednesday- Worked out Legs
Thursday- Walked mile, bike 3 miles
Friday- Worked out Arms and Abs
Saturday- Nothing
Sunday- Walked mile, bike 3 miles, Abs

I also would eat 5 times a day. Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner.

It was a great week and I learned a lot from Ryan. I am looking forward to this week and having No Dr. Pepper (ok thats not true, I cant wait till Sunday to have a Dr. Pepper)

2 weeks

If you have seen me in the past few weeks you will know that I have gained 10LBS this past month (due to my meds I was on and eating). I am not taking the meds anymore but the weight did not go with the meds when I stopped.

I was talking to Tim's Associate Youth Pastor Ryan last night and asked him what I should do? He said eat better and work out! So he came over this morning (Tim and the boys where here too) and worked my butt off!!! He also went though my food and told me what I could eat today! I am really blessed to have him help me out and he is doing it for free.

I am writing this to ask everyone to keep me accountable to my eating and working out. If you see me eat or drink something bad in the next 2 weeks I will give you $1.00. That is a lot of money in the Knox family!

Mission of Motherhood

My sweet friend Mandy gave me the book Mission of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson. I am only in chapter 2 but I wanted to write this down (or should I say type).

God designed motherhood to be a deeply meaningful role. We mothers have the opportunity to influence eternity by building a spiritual legacy in the lives of our children.

Dinosaur Museum

Today we went to the Sam Noble Museum (aka Dinosaur Museum) with some friends from our Life Group. The Museum is free on the 1st Monday of the month. We had a wonderful time and learned a lot! Here are some pictures from our day.
