A few plans for the rest of the week: We are leaving for our family Vacation to Durango, Co. Tim and I will have been married for 7 years on December 15th. The boys get to play with snow all week long and be with there daddy and mommy.

SWITCH Leader Party

Last night we had 40 of our SWITCH leaders to our house for a Christmas party. I have been looking forward to this for a month. We are blessed to have a house that is 1,252 square feet big. Tim and I new it would be small but we think there is something about having people in your home. Yesterday morning I woke up REALLY sick. (I mean it was coming from both ends). So needless to say Tim had to clean, cook, and take care of the boys while I was in the bathroom all day and all night. Tim did a wonderful job, I am so proud of him!

On a said note Tim hired another youth pastor to help out with SWITCH, his name is Ryan Dowdy he is awesome!

Don't Make Me Count to Three!

You know when you are reading a book and its like the words come off the page and say this is for YOU! This happened to me last night as I was reading "Don't Make Me Count to Three!" Tim and I are so blessed to have 2 boys, but most of the time I don't know what I am doing. Something the book said was "rather than talking to your child, you talk with your child." WHAT!!! Why didn't I even think of that. When I am telling my children what to do and how to do it, I think I might try to talk with them, not at them.

Ding Dongs and Trouble

I woke up today at 8:45 and could not believe Nathan was not up yet. I ran to his room and he was out!!! So I did what all good moms do I went back to bed=) A few minutes later Nathan woke up. I could not believe he slept so late. I found out later what he did last night while Tim and I where sleeping!!!

Me: Nathan why is trouble (the game) in your room?
Nathan: I played it last night when you and daddy sleep!
Me: What else did you do last night?
Nathan: I ate a Ding Dong too!!

Next time your child sleeps in, ask them what they did at night=)

Vacation

We are going on a 5 night cruise! Tim and I will have been married for 7 years in December. When Tim and I got married we said that we will always go on a trip together to work on our marriage once a year. We have done it every year! Sometimes we go to Mexico and sometimes we go to Dallas. People ask me all the time how we get to go on nice trips? All I can say is we have been blessed! God has blessed us with a trip every year=) Cant wait to show pictures when we get back. (the boys will be with grandma and grandpa all week)

The other night Micah (our 2 year old) was in his bed saying "I want, I want". I walked back to his room and said:

Me-Hey buddy whats going on?
Micah- I want, I want!
Me- Buddy what do you want milk, food?
Micah- I want you!!!

All he wanted was me to hold him and love on him. It made me think when was the last time I wanted to spend time with Jesus?
