Lake August 2008

Our Life Group leaders invited us to there lake house for a few days and we had a wonderful time. My husband Tim is blessed to get every 8th weekend off and a lot of times we go up to their lake house and spend time with each other. I am not sure if I have told you guys but I LOVE spending time with my 3 boys!!! ha ha

Today

Today the boys and I where driving in the car and Nathan asked me a question:

Nathan: Mom what are we doing today?
Me: Nathan, what would you like to do today?
Nathan: Um let me think about it! Go to the park with YOU!!

All he wanted was to spend time with his mommy! I love being a mom and staying home with my sweet boys. It made me start thinking about how I am so thankful I get to stay home with my boys and help my husband whenever he needs. I am also reading a book that talks about we only have today, our we doing what we would be doing if we new we only had today with our children and husband? It makes you think!

Date Night

Tim and I had a great date night last night! As you know Tim is a pastor so he gets to work all weekend. Last night after we put the kids to bed we went out side and read a book together. It was amazing!!! I love spending time with my sweet boys Nathan and Micah, but I sure do love when they go to bed and I get Tim aka "daddy" all to myself=) I cant wait for another date night with my man!!!

Playgroup

Yesterday I had playgroup at my house. We have a big back yard with a kiddie pool and a swing set. I woke up and it was raining. I ran out to the kitchen and started to tell Tim:

Nicole- "We cant have playgroup at our house its to small to have 8-12 kids in it."
Tim- "What are you talking about?"
Nicole-"It is raining! We cant go out side now, so we cant have playgroup at our house!!"
Tim- "Nicole you need to stop. If you are in a good mood then everyone will have a great time.

I love that my man can put me in my place. (he has to do that a lot, you think I would learn) Playgroup was wonderful, the kids and moms had a great time.

YMCA

This Friday was so awesome because my sweet husband and I started training for our 5K. We both get our work out clothes on and head up to the YMCA to run! At first we look at each other and say "this is so easy". Let me tell you by the end of it we where dead!!! (we are both still sore) We know now we need to get in shape. When Tim and I got married almost 7 years ago we weighed 120lbs -Nicole, 145lbs- Tim. Not so much anymore!!!! We are going to the YMCA tomorrow to run again, please pray for us we need it!!!

5K

I was reading my friends blog today http://nataliewitcher.blogspot.com/ and she is going to run a 5K in 9 weeks and asked if anyone else wanted to do it. At first I thought "Why did I read her blog today?" Because to tell the truth I have gained a few pounds and have not been going to the gym, SO the last thing I Nicole want to do is work out. I truly started to think it was ok that I have gained weight. I told my self I am a mother of two and I am going to have more kids, so I can just lose the weight once I am done having kids. HA HA.

Well I am going to run the 5K with Natalie in 9 weeks. (oh did I really write that) If you want to do it with us let us know=)
